Corruption, of course, is the biggest threat to India’s growth and future… I sometimes wonder why a common man should not turn into a gangster and start looting the so called rich people. Then I realize, that if they get caught publicly, forget a CBI probe, they might be lynched outright. That makes me think of my revered Indian Politicians who support only the top most Bureaucrats, Doctors, IAS officers, even the goddamn God-men doing business in the name of God. And if we dare to take these anti-social elements on, then we need to be a Maoist and most likely get shot or put behind the bars. It is not at all unknown to the Indian Public that our top bureaucracy is the most corrupt in amassing inappropriate wealth as well as misusing their power to scare the public and especially exploit the common man. India got freed from the British rule but again fell to the cruel hands of many inhuman Politicians and Bureaucrats. Whom should a common man seek help to get rescued? Even the stone Gods in the Golden temples are the properties of the Politicians and Bureaucrats.
The media has played a stellar role over the past 2 years in highlighting massive corruption in certain areas such as telecom, Commonwealth Games and many more. But, are we not forgetting the IAS officers of our country who are becoming obsessed with negativism and in the process damaging our own national interests in the eyes of the world? No doubt, these IAS officers are leaving no stone unturned to upgrade themselves.
An ex-collector from the city of Nagpur has committed a forgery of approximately 400Cr. A few of the IAS officials have huge assets in the UK. Is the Govt. not aware of these facts or it simply doesn’t want to deal with it? We have corrupt IAS Officers all across the country. This may just constitute to 1% of our total population, if I’m not wrong. Can we not handle these viruses spreading their wings in the society with an iron hand?
Today, the IAS officers are busy chasing after their pay slips, ensuring their pay scales remain higher than other services and other bits and pieces of Personnel ministry, local treasury to ensure they don’t have any trouble on retirement in getting right amount of Pension.
I think the Govt. has forgotten the gigantic ‘Bhopal IAS couple's corruption scam’ and the ‘IAS officer’s arrest on corruption charges in UP’. It’s not just important to catch the IAS officials of this tribe, what is important, is not allowing them to get away with the ill gotten money. Let them not be allowed to use the same money to fight their case in the court and bail their way out. Otherwise it does not make sense wasting nation's money and time in trying to just portray that the Govt. is vigilant and knows how to curb corruption. In fact, why can’t there be a law to first freeze their bank accounts and give them no quarters to get away.
Unless Complete clean up of such IAS officials is not done, the Indian Administrative Service is destined to be guillotined in the not too distant future.
Hence, strong moves should be taken by the Govt. towards the eradication of corruption led by the IAS officers. With the hope that people always find system of this country on their side, I wish some positive actions are immediately taken against the IAS officers.
